The Long Road Home From Wherehouse
"The Long Road Home: In Concert" came out today. I've never had an on-screen credit before, so forgive me for being a little bit stoked. Henceforth, I join the ranks of such End-Title Legends as Deebo and Fox. In fact, the credit plus the beard pretty much makes me George Lucas, minus the gajillions of dollars and the ignobility of having created Jar-Jar Binks.
When I was picking up the Fogerty DVD, guess what was On Sale in the used rack? Yep. The Motherfucking "Best Of Lionel Richie." You KNOW I bought it.
Other Recent Music Buys-
Dashboard Confessional - "Don't Wait"
(I'm not sure why I like this, but I do, PLUS it comes with a pretty effin good cover of "In A Big Country.")
Imogen Heap - "Speak For Yourself"
(I know, I know, I should have already had this album, but the two singles were already in my collection. Also, you're no doubt aware I'm ALWAYS behind the curve of what's cool. I JUST got some Air Jordans.)
Kate Bush - "Wuthering Heights"
(I've been mildly obsessed with Kate Bush lately, this song in particular. I really have not a single fucking clue why this song, based on the Emily Bronte novel of the same name, has so much emotional resonance with me right now, but I THINK it's because I'm a pretentious, self-absorbed cunt.)
80's Fever!
"Drive"
"You Might Think"
"Kyrie"
"Straight Up"
------
Before I leave the subject of TLRH DVD, let's have a big Danland "Woot Woot!" for Jim Scott, whose awesome mixes make it sound as though I know what I'm doing.
Woot!

Jim Scott had a major hand in two Barenaked Ladies recordings. He engineered for Don Was on the Maroon album and also engineered and produced the two new tracks on their Greatest Hits album.
He was set to mix their current album (Barenaked Ladies Are Me), but the scheduling didn't work out.
Congrats on the screen cred!
"onlbzsuw"
Jim also engineered the new Dixie Chicks record, which sounds fantastic!
