Monday Roundup

Fer updated my site. Woot!

Quote of the Day-

So. I got my Certificate "framed" at a "frame store." I gave the "frame store" some "money" (which is a token of value that can can be exchanged for goods or services) and they "took care of that shit, cracker"

It looks pretty fucking good. Kudos to Frame Club USA in the beautiful North Hollywood Industrial District. Someday I may take off the corner pieces and actually hang it.

Future Sample Conversation-

Potential Client- "Hey, Dan, I got your name from Gimpy McKnobshlob and I wanted to talk to you about a project."

MFDC- (PAUSE) "I have a Certificate."

Potential Client- "Um, cool! So I want to track drums for 3 songs on the 25th. Are you available?"

MFDC- (LONGER PAUSE) "I HAVE a Certificate."

And so on.

-----

iTunes Stuff-

As The Roots Undo is the most obnoxious, ambitious, sloppily intricate piece of noize-rawk that I've heard in a long time. It hasn't left my car CD player for weeks.

Covers of Bob Dylan songs are often very good- "The Mighty Quinn (Quinn the Eskimo)"

Seeing Chick Corea in Mesa, Arizona recently reminded me of a time when a much younger, quasi-mulleted MFDC would pour over Modern Drummer magazine with the hope that, someday, I too could be a Muso Jazzhole. Dave Weckl- "Festival de Ritmo."

Do you like my inconsistent personal pronouns? You DO, don't you bitch?

Haiku of the Day

The news bums me out.
Fucktard George will nuke Iran.
Sigh. Back to soft-core.

Certificate

So I got this in the mail today-

I guess I should "frame" it. I've never really "framed" anything before. I have a feeling that if I tried to "frame" it myself, I would "crush my thumb with a hammer" or "accidently kill the horse next door."

This place is close and reasonable-

Any other ideas?

Haiku of the Day

Updating software;
Is it cool or pathetic
that I enjoy it?
